Psychoanalysis

Psychotherapy or Psychoanalysis?

Both offer a space to understand yourself and what you are going through. The difference lies in the way the work unfolds.

Psychotherapy focuses on the difficulties, relationships, and experiences that are affecting your life now. It can help you understand what you are going through and develop new ways of responding and relating.

Psychoanalysis takes a different path. It explores what lies beneath what you consciously know — the unconscious patterns, desires, conflicts, and repetitions that shape your experience. Through speaking and listening over time, what has remained difficult to understand can gradually become more visible.

Neither is simply a better or deeper version of the other. They offer different ways of working, and the right approach depends on what you are looking to explore.
