INUKA PROJECT

Dear friends,

INUKA — rise, awaken, become

In Swahili, inuka means “rise” or “stand up.” The word evokes movement, awakening, renewal, and the possibility of moving toward a fuller sense of self. In this spirit, the INUKA Project seeks to support adolescents as they navigate experiences that may affect their psychological development, relationships, and sense of identity.

The INUKA Project is a specialized psychological intervention program for adolescents ages 13 to 17 living in situations of vulnerability related to family violence and psychoactive substance use. The program provides structured, psychoanalytically informed clinical care aimed at supporting psychological development, strengthening relational resources, and interrupting cycles of harm.

Each participant receives an initial three-month therapeutic process integrating individual, group, and family therapy. This clinical approach addresses the adolescent's subjective experience while also working with their interpersonal and family environments.

The project is carried out by psychologists and psychotherapists with specialized training who contribute their professional services on a volunteer basis. Donations therefore support the essential operating costs required to provide and sustain care, including clinical spaces, materials, coordination, and administration.

We invite you to support the INUKA Project throughout the September 2026–September 2027 cycle. Contributions of any amount help make specialized psychological care accessible to adolescents who might otherwise have limited access to it.

We greatly appreciate your consideration and would be pleased to provide additional information regarding the program, its clinical framework, and opportunities for participation.

With gratitude,
