About Psicotepec

Psicotepec was born from a simple conviction: psychoanalysis should not be a privilege.

For too long, this kind of care has been out of reach for most people. We exist to change that — bringing a serious, contemporary psychoanalytic practice to private, community, workplace, and institutional settings, where most people actually live their lives.

What sets us apart

Most clinics offer therapy. We offer something more specific: a contemporary psychoanalytic approach that takes the whole person seriously — not just their symptoms, but their history, their relationships, their desires, and their contradictions.

We work beyond symptom relief. We are interested in the deep exploration of identity and of each person's relationship with themselves and the world. That's why every intervention is tailored to the unique needs of each individual, group, or community — recognizing how diverse identities, histories, and cultural contexts shape each person's lived experience.

We draw on insights from multiple disciplines, uphold high ethical standards, and continuously evaluate our own practices to keep improving. We are not interested in offering a rigid model — we are interested in work that is alive, honest, and always in motion.

Our commitment

We believe psychoanalysis works best when it isn't a luxury — when anyone, regardless of their economic situation or background, can access a therapeutic process that is serious, human, and transformative.

That is why we designed Psicotepec as a project, not just a clinic: with accessible fees, in-person and online options, a presence across different settings, and a commitment to making mental health care — and its impact on communities — reach further.
